Presented a study that systematically reveals the problems and opportunities for the development of the mining and chemical complex of Russia. On the example of leading representatives of the Russian mining and chemical complex (PJSC PhosAgro, PJSC Akron, JSC MHC EuroChem, PJSC Uralkali), the resource potential of the mineral fertilizer mining sector was assessed, the main financial indicators of leading manufacturers were determined, a comparative analysis of companies was carried out and the main forms of their interaction were considered. The demand supply for mineral fertilizers of three types over the past few years has been analyzed. In relation to the mining industry, key digitalization trends have been identified, including: automation, robotization, the Internet of Things, big data, real-time data, machine learning, artificial intelligence and 3D printing. Corporate social responsibility (CSR) of mining and chemical enterprises of the Murmansk region is considered in detail as a factor in the sustainable development of local communities of Arctic single-industry towns. It is shown that the corporate social policy of large mining and chemical enterprises of the Murmansk region meets the requirements of scale and complexity, and specific CSR measures are focused on meeting the interests of the main stakeholders.
