The monograph is an essay on a number of vivid and at the same time poorly studied episodes of the centuries-old history of the Arab East. Despite the fact that the pages of the monograph give a wide panorama of the history of Arabs in the era of Antiquity, the Middle Ages and Modern times, the main center of attraction of author's attention is the problem of spaces in Arab-Muslim history.
