His name is Grimnir, and he is the last of his tribe - the last in the ancient family of monsters, from antiquity former scourge of mankind. Full of thirst for revenge on his brother's killer, Grimnir goes to a world where a new faith already reigns. The old paths grow in grass, those who followed them hide in shadows, but Grimnir inexorably goes to his goal: leaving behind the Danish fjords, where the wisdom of the ancient dwarfs gave way to madness, he falls into the war-torn heart of England, where forest spirits fight each other.
