The publication includes a popular account of events about the internal situation in the eastern regions of Belarus, refugees, ambulance trains and infirmaries for the treatment of wounded army soldiers. Central to the book is a chapter on the last Russian emperor Nicholas II and the Supreme Commander's Headquarters, which turned Mogilev into one of the two political centers of the Russian Empire.
