This edition is the first complete Russian translation of the three works of the Monk Maxim the Confessor: the so-called "Ambigv" (literally "bewilderments") - "Ambigv to Thomas" (634) and "Ambigv to John" (628-630), as well as the "Epistles to Thomas" adjacent to them. Together, these works form the main theological work of the Monk Maxim - "On the various bewilderments of Saints Dionysius and Gregory." The unity of this creation can be spoken of due to at least two circumstances.
