The collapse of Operation Blau covers the events of two campaigns of the German Wehrmacht in the southern sector of the Eastern Front from April 1942 to February 1943 - operations on the Kerch Peninsula and near Kharkov, the assault on Sevastopol and battles on the passes of the Great Caucasus Range. At the center of the story is the Battle of Stalingrad, one of the key battles of World War II, which marked the beginning of the complete defeat of Nazi Germany. The work is based on documents and memoirs of participants in events on both sides - from representatives of the high command to ordinary soldiers.
