The collection publishes the materials of the conference dedicated to the 800th anniversary of the creation of the Galicia-Volyn principality, which was held in Lviv on December 9-10, 1999, as well as a summary of reports at the conference in Odessa Castle on October 26 and 28, 2001 on the occasion of the 800th anniversary of the birth of Daniel Galitsky. The articles cover the political, socio-economic and cultural history of the Galicia-Volyn land, significant attention is paid to the era of Prince and King Daniel.
