Henri Corbin (1903-1978), French Islamic scholar, historian of religions and philosopher, is undoubtedly one of the most brilliant experts in Iran of Ishiism. The book "Light Man in Iranian Sufism" occupies an important place in the creative heritage of Corben and is highly appreciated by specialists. The study, as the name suggests, examines the phenomenon of the light man in mysticism in general and Iranian Sufism in particular. "Lightman" is, according to Corben, our heavenly or spiritual double, "witness in the sky" and "hidden mentor" - that is, a particle of light that resides in each of us, which seeks to connect with its whole, with the Whole or Universal Light.
