The monograph analyzes archaeological and written sources on the history of the Savromats and Sarmatians of the South Russian steppes and reconstructs the main stages of their ethnopolitical history. The first part is devoted to the problems of typology of archaeological material, relative and absolute chronology of the Savromato-Sarmatian archaeological culture.
