The monograph, based on the study of studies of foreign (primarily American) scientists and US normative material, as well as the works of domestic comparative lawyers, reveals the general theoretical aspects of understanding the phenomenon of the "source of law" in American jurisprudence, provides a comprehensive analysis of the two main "primary" sources of United States law - statutes and precedents. Particular attention is paid to the problem of interaction and the correlation of statutory and precedent mores in the legal system of modern USA.
