During 1940-1955, TsAGI performed a number of theoretical and computational studies on propellers. The results of some of the studies are included in this collection. In the works of V.V. Keldysh, G.I. Maykapar, D.V. Khalezova and L.Ya. Krupenina, A.M. Lepilkina gave methods for calculating single and coaxial propellers for large and small relative steps. In the works of G.I. Maykapara and A.I. Slutsky considered the calculation of the propeller with oblique blowing and the calculation of the rotor. All these works are based on the vortex theory of the screw N.E. Zhukovsky.
