This collection is based on proclamations and leaflets of central and local organizations of the RSDLP, distributed in hundreds and thousands of copies on the eve and on the day of May 1 among workers in factories. In addition to proclamations, the collection uses letters from party workers, illustrated by the gendarmerie, and gendarme-police court materials, drawing repressive measures of the tsarist government and registering events on May Day.
