The book sets out the general theory of railway tariffs, discusses issues of tariff policy, the economic role and importance of freight railway tariffs at certain stages of the development of the national economy of the USSR. In addition, the tariff system operating on the railways of the USSR, the main issues of the methodology for setting tariffs and the procedure for calculating freight charges and fees for transportation are described.
