Rimma Ivanovna Neratova - artist, lived and studied until the Second World War in St. Petersburg - Leningrad. After the first winter of the siege of Leningrad with the institute of his father, Professor I. A. Kurganov, she was evacuated to the Caucasus. Until 1950, she lived with her parents, first in Poland, then in Germany. The book is a biography of this family during and after the war.
