William Shakespeare is a great English playwright. We know 37 of his plays, and this despite the fact that one half of them was never published during his lifetime, and the other was published mostly illegally, and therefore with distortion. Unfortunately, personal documents have not been preserved. There are no letters, no Shakespeare diaries, no intimate memories of his loved ones. Yet Shakespeare's private life cannot be said to be entirely hidden from us. Individual echoes of her have reached, and everything that is known about this side of his biography is set out in this book.
