Chronologically, the collection covers the period from the second half of the 18th to the 80s of the 19th century. It contains articles on the development of socio-political, socio-economic relations and the history of the liberation movements of the Polish, Czech, Slovak, Serbian, Croatian, Montenegrin, Greek, Romanian, Hungarian and Bulgarian peoples, as well as progressive ties between them and Russia. A special section of the work is devoted to historiography and source study.
