The collective monograph presents the results of an archaeological study of the territory of the Kyiv Gostiny Dvor in 2013. Recorded cultural layers fluctuate within the XII-XIX centuries. A wide chronological range allows you to trace the territory of the oldest Podil square and trace the genesis of changes in the planning structure of the area from ancient Russian time to the new. Of particular interest are the remains of wooden structures of shopping malls of the 18th-19th centuries. Descriptions of archaeological sites and artifacts are supported by additional narrow-profile analyzes. The second edition was carried out on the initiative and forces of the e-magazine "MIX," supplemented with illustrative material, as well as decoding the inscription on the cradle found on the territory of Gostiny Dvor.
