They spent twenty years in an underground shelter, fleeing radiation and the mutants generated by it, afraid to lean out to the surface. For twenty years they lived like rats, hiding in burrows and eating scraps of civilization. Fate itself could not bear their suffering and gave the residents of Naberezhnye Chelny a chance to get out of the dead city, find a new place to live and feel like people again. One of the refugees is Azat, who bears the burden of responsibility for his wife and two sons on his shoulders. He sets off with everyone, hoping to give the family a better future. However, the smile of fate turns into an evil grin: where to go if the whole world has died, and there are only wastelands scorched by the atomic flame? Can they make a new life in the ashes of our homes?
