The Great Pacific Garbage Patch - a million square kilometers of plastic in which the propeller of any vessel will get bogged down - has been moved to the farthest point in the world's oceans as a result of a global environmental project. The Nemo point - as these coordinates are commonly called - becomes a modern cemetery for dead ships and a home for their crews. Passengers of fashionable yachts and illegal refugees, sailors from bulk carriers and even the destroyer crew remain incommunicado and hopeful of getting out of the garbage trap. From the waste of the old civilization, they are forced to build a new one.
