The state is complicated. Being called and being a state is not the same thing. And if to be a state - then what? For more than twenty years of independence from Russia, Ukraine has not become a full-fledged state. Having used up what she got from the USSR, squeezing all the juices from Soviet industrial assets, getting rid of the "alien" Russian elite, Ukraine buried itself in a conceptual dead end of its development. Then, as before, she simply has nowhere to move. For Europe, it is too wild, impoverished and uncivilized. For Russia - too Russophobic, Bandera and overly infected with Western cultural codes.
