In the work "On Magnet, Magnetic Bodies and the Big Magnet - Earth," the scientist first consistently examined magnetic and electrical phenomena. This book describes more than 600 experiments done by Hilbert and outlines the conclusions reached by the scientist. It was in this work that the assumption was made that the Earth is a giant magnet.
