The first volume of works includes in the new translation A. Schopenhauer's doctoral dissertation "On the Four Roots of the Law of Sufficient Foundation" and the first volume of the main philosophical work "The World as Will and Representation." As an appendix is given the "Critique of Kant Philosophy," which Schopenhauer himself considered a necessary and important addition to his philosophical work.
