"Chronicle of the Great Patriotic War of the Soviet Union at the Black Sea Theater," published by the 4th department of the Naval Scientific Directorate of the Naval General Staff, is part of a large work covering the entire war in general at sea, river and lake theaters. "Chronicle" is the first stage of a general study of the course of the war, without a comprehensive study of the entire variety of events. Hence its incompleteness is inevitable, since a significant number of relatively small events are deliberately missed.
