Science fiction novel by the wonderful Ukrainian science fiction writer Nikolai Alexandrovich Dashkiev (1921-1976) "The Death of Urania" ("The Death of Urania"), first published in 1960, was inexplicably not translated into Russian until 2012. The novel takes place on Earth and on the planet Piraeus in the system of Two Suns, which the confrontation between the superpowers led to an atomic disaster. A lot of adventures, heroism and resourcefulness of the main characters, excellent scientific and fantastic components (war in space, transplantation of consciousness into another body, climate weapons, unreleased inventions and much more) - all this makes the novel interesting for the modern reader.
