The definition of the social system of Ancient Russia is one of the most difficult problems in Russian historical science. This problem has been studied for over 250 years. Its decision is inextricably linked not only with scientific reasons, but also with socio-political and philosophical factors, therefore it is an integral part of a single historiographic process.
