In the book of a specialist from the USA, numerical methods used in heat exchange problems (methods of finite differences and finite elements, collocation, solving two-point nonlinear boundary value problems, etc.) are described and compared using numerous examples. Applications of these methods to the study of the main processes of heat exchange (thermal conductivity, convection, radiation), as well as diffusion and phenomena of complex heat exchange (interaction of natural and forced convection, turbulent transfer, combustion) are considered.
