The textbook presents, in a systematic and chronological order, the main stages of the development of science and technology from ancient times to the end of the 20th century. The emphasis in this textbook is placed on those scientific achievements that influenced the development of energy, means of production and means of transport, household appliances and weapons, where a significant role belongs to the activities of a design engineer and designer.
