The anthropology of travel is a subject area of ​ ​ historical anthropology, focusing on the study of the motives of crossing borders and the activity behavior of a traveler in a "foreign" world. In this work, the motives and mental maps of travelers - Italians and Spaniards - acting on the eve of the era of great geographical discoveries are investigated.
