The collective monograph includes materials on the study of Russian travelogues developed within the framework of the concept of the project "Annotated index" Russian travelogue of the 18th - early 20th centuries. " The problems of the monograph are related to the study of the plot, topological, time, phenomenological range of travel literature. A special place is occupied by the study of the genre diversity of documentary travelogues, which manifested itself in the wide variability of narrative models, in their connection with the general genre trends of the literary process, as well as the analysis of the correlation of the travelogue with the context of the literary and socio-cultural life of Russia of the 18th-20th centuries.
