The first volume of the four-volume book includes documents related to the resettlement of Crimean Greeks to Russia, their wanderings after leaving the Crimea and before settling in the Sea of ​ ​ Azov, with the initial arrangement on new lands. It also contains some documents characterizing the situation of Christians during their life in the Crimea or related to the formation of the structures of the Azov province and Mariupol Greek district.
