The second edition of the monograph comprehensively examines the most significant problems in the development of early medieval England (V - mid-XI century). The author focuses on the evolution of the most important economic, socio-political and spiritual institutions of Anglo-Saxon society at the stage of the formation of feudal relations. In the appendix, for the first time in Russian medieval studies, murals of Anglo-Saxon rulers of the early Middle Ages were published.
