The book describes 137 grape varieties officially approved for use in production in the Russian Federation, i.e. zoned, as well as 68 promising, 148 temporarily allowed and 107 circulation, previously cultivated in production; a total of 460 varieties are described. Moreover, varieties that are widespread or tend to spread on a large scale in areas are described according to a more complete scheme. Varieties that do not have a deep perspective are described according to a simplified scheme. And finally, varieties cultivated in separate microzones and occupying small areas are described very briefly.
