The book contains a regional and comprehensive method that complies with the basic principles of physical regional studies, describing and characterizing individual parts and regions of Western Europe. Those countries and regions of Western Europe are described in more detail that can be considered classical in the vivid expression of some typical landscapes and in their most detailed and long-ongoing study (such as the Alps, volcanic regions of Italy, the shores of the Mediterranean, Norwegian fjords).
