Cryptanarchism is a philosophy whose essence is to use strong cryptography to protect privacy and personal freedom. Cryptanarchists are people who support the philosophy of cryptanarchism. They believe that cryptography protects people from Internet surveillance and are confident that the laws of mathematics are stronger than human laws and that without encryption of messages and information, people's personal lives will suffer. Their global goal is the Internet of Trust. This phenomenon can be attributed to the sphere of socio-political ideology aimed at the struggle for freedom of speech, privacy of identity and private correspondence.
