The book consists of five sections. The first sets out the author's views on the debating problems of the historical past of Moldova and some other countries expressed at international and regional scientific conferences. The second sets out both personal and collective opinions on the dignity of school textbooks, the relevance of monographs and cultural events held in the republic. The third contains published works on the history of Moldova at the turn of the 20th-21st centuries. In the fourth "Word about colleagues" essays are given about people from the scientific world who had a beneficial influence on the author of this book. The fifth section "about the author" sets out individual sketches from the life of the author.
