The word "tyrant" arose at the dawn of history and, according to scientists, is of Lydian or Phrygian origin. Translated, it means "lord." Over the centuries, this concept has acquired a very broad meaning and today is most often used figuratively and implies rule based on despotism, and tyrants are called rulers whose power is based on arbitrariness and violence, as well as cruel, powerful people, tormentors.
