The textbook discusses the main issues of Quaternary geology: the duration of the Quaternary period and the position of the lower boundary of the Quaternary system, features of the tectonic structure and climate change, etc. The genetic types of Quaternary deposits, their methods of study and stratigraphy are characterized in detail. The characteristics of the Quaternary cover of certain regions of Russia are given.
