Silke was only sixteen years old when she entered the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp in 1942. The beauty of the girl attracts the attention of the senior officers of the camp, and Silka is forcibly separated from other female prisoners. She quickly learns that power, even undesirable power, equals survival. War over. The camp has been released. However, Silka is accused of espionage and of sleeping with the enemy, and is sent to the Vorkuta camp.
