The basics of the theory and methodology of information wars and their practical applications are outlined. A system of adaptive mechanisms and their simplified models - archetypes of information wars - has been developed. Combinations of these mechanisms and archetypes are used to analyze and design complex information war management systems in socio-economic systems of different nature and scale - from enterprise and corporation to the state and the world community.
