Lucius Anney Seneca - the largest Roman philosopher, the first representative of Stoicism in the Ancient World. A special role in shaping the views of the philosopher was played by the ancient Greek thinker Posidonius. In turn, Seneca's moral position and value system had a strong influence on his contemporaries and subsequent generations. The collection includes selected "Moral Letters to Lucilius," the tragedies "Medea," "Phaedra," "Oedipus," "Phiestus," "Agamemnon" and "Octavia" and the philosophical treatise "On a Happy Life."
