The novel "Pr.? Cursed Gold of Kolyma" tells about the fate of the talented Russian engineer and scientist Yevgeny Ivanovich Bogdanov. A fifth-year student at the Leningrad Polytechnic Institute, he was arrested on the denunciation of a close friend and, after a short trial, was sentenced to five years in camps. The hero found the strength not only to survive in the monstrous conditions of Kolyma, but also to graduate from the institute, defend his Ph.D. and doctoral dissertations, become a professor and corresponding member of the USSR Academy of Sciences. The novel is based on real events, the names and surnames of some heroes have been changed. The second part of the book contains the stories of searches and finds of little-known materials from the Russo-Japanese War of 1904-1905.
