The book reflects both theoretical and experimental aspects of solid state spectroscopy. In one book, it is difficult to cover all issues of solid state spectroscopy, so it should be stipulated that we pay more attention to dielectrics than semiconductors and metals. When describing the measurement technique, we describe in more detail spectroscopy using synchrotron radiation (this is due to the latest greatest successes in this area) than with laboratory sources.
