This edition combines two books of the outstanding French architect of our time - Charles-Edouard Le Corbusier - "Three Forms of Settlement" and "Athens Charter." The first book outlines the theoretical problems of modern urban planning, proposals for the development of urban areas, the theory of a linear industrial city, and the ideas of creating a new type of rural settlement. The second book is an expanded resolution of one of the international congresses on modern architecture (CIAM), which met in 1933. This Charter, written and edited by Le Corbusier, went down in history as a document that proclaimed the main ideas and specific goals for the development of modern urban planning.
