Materials presented at the international scientific conference held at the Vladimir State University named after A. G. and N. G. Stoletovs on October 24-25, 2017. It contains publications that address topical problems of Russian history related to the revolutionary events of 1917. Discussion issues of Russian history of the first quarter of the 20th century are outlined, important areas of the theory of teaching Russian history are updated.
