The new history of philosophy does not consider the "actual" and "forgotten" separately, but is interested in those cases in which they not only intersect, but directly coincide - what is "relevant" because it turned out to be "forgotten," or "forgotten" because "relevant." This is due, among other things, to the feeling that everyone who is at least somehow connected with philosophy has today - that philosophy is barely tolerated. But, as Ovid, the first of the authors of Metamorphosis, said, "where there is no danger, pleasure is less pleasant."
