The collection of documents is dedicated to the events of the Soviet-Finnish war of 1939-1940, in memory of those who died and those who returned from this war to become a participant in an even more terrible battle in a year. The task of this book is to recreate the image of the war that was available to the Siberian resident, however, like all Soviet citizens. The main written sources about what was happening on the distant western borders of the Soviet Union were newspapers and rare letters from the front. In the current conditions of documentary limitations, the compilers tried to make the history of the "unknown war" in the Siberian version not only accessible, but also as diverse as possible.
