Exploring the problem of physicality from a historical and philosophical perspective from antiquity to the present, the authors of the collection reveal many of its aspects and the variety of solutions proposed by thinkers of the West and the East. Some parallels are revealed between the ideas about physicality that formed in Antiquity, the early Middle Ages, Modern times and modern philosophy, which allows us to interpret the corresponding theories as part of a long, lively tradition containing significant heuristic potential.
