This book is the first textbook on the course of applied geomorphology, which is read to geomorphological students of geographical faculties of universities. It is devoted to an important and urgent problem - the application of data and geomorphology methods to solving a variety of practical problems in the design of roads and pipelines, hydraulic engineering, urban planning, land management, mineral prospecting, etc. The publication of the book is necessary not only due to the growing practical significance of geomorphology and the lack of appropriate textbooks, but also because trends towards its differentiation have noticeably increased in geomorphological science.
