The book is devoted to the study of nozzles with devices for deflecting the thrust vector of gas turbine engines of aircraft with vertical take-off and landing (VTOL). The effectiveness of downward jet deflection for VTOL is shown. The principles of creation of deflecting devices are described, various schemes and designs of lifting-marching and lifting engines are given. The basis of gas dynamic calculation of deflectors is given.
