The manual offers a model for training choreographers in modern dance. The manual consists of 2 parts, the first part is devoted to the history of the development of such areas of dance as jazz dance, modern, contemporary, social dance. In the second, practical part, the methodology for teaching future choreographers the principles of composition in modern dance is proposed. This technique synthesizes the best examples of Western schools, the traditions of the Russian choreographic school and the practical experience of the author.
